Nico Meyer is a senior scientist in the Quantum Compilation Group of Fraunhofer IIS and pursues a PhD jointly supervised with the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. He works at the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning, with multiple publications in leading venues. Nico has received several awards and recognitions, most recently the Dieter Schwarz Award at the ML4QT Symposium in Heilbronn. He currently applies machine-learning methods, particularly variational approaches, to develop quantum middleware, focusing on quantum error correction and fault tolerance.
